Planning your wedding outside during a beautiful Texas spring, summer or fall is a popular choice. However, one thing that seems to get overlooked is where everyone is going to use the restroom?
A wedding and reception usually last 4-10 hours and typically involve food and drink – you do not want to be caught at the last minute without a restroom. In this article, we are going to share some tips to renting luxury restroom for your outdoor wedding.
#1 Schedule Your Rental in Advance.
Restroom trailers are very expensive to purchase, so it’s quite rare for any portable restroom company to stock them in large quantities. Even companies with thousands of portable toilets may have just a few restroom trailers available. If you are renting in the busy season, April through October, you’re going to want to reserve them at least three months in advance.
#2 Make Sure Your Location Can Accommodate a Restroom Trailer.
Luxury restroom trailers are large. They are very tall and can easily be scratched by branches and may not have clearance under some tree limbs. Make sure the entire path from your driveway to where you want the trailer to be placed is trimmed. Also ensure the driveway is wide enough for the trailer and truck.
#3 Plan Out How Many Will Attend and If They Have Special Bathroom Needs.
A restroom trailer is completely self-contained, including their own water supply and waste storage. However, there is a limit to how much water and how much waste capacity a trailer will have. It’s good practice to inform the restroom rental company on how many guests will be attending. They can help you decide which restroom best suites your needs. If your guests are elderly or disabled, you may find that it could be difficult for them to access a restroom trailer. A restroom trailer with handicapped access would better accommodate your guest in these situations.
#4 Make Sure You Have the Proper Hookups for The Trailer.
Some trailers may require no hookups at all and are completely independent. However, the more lavish restroom trailers with air conditioning and heat, require power to operate properly. These types of trailers will need to be hooked up to an external power source, such as a generator or a nearby outlet. It is always best practice to check with your customer service representative to ensure that you have the proper hookups several months prior to your event.
